Exhaustion is knocking at my door
So I'm now on my I've lost count week of no days off. Working three jobs and going to school is exhausting. I can't wait for Thanksgiving! Both because I get to visit the man that I love and plan to marry and also so that I can actually relax for a couple of days and not have to work or worry about things that stress me out. I can actually sleep in and hang out all day without wondering if I'm scheduled someplace that day. Yipee!!! I plan to be a total slug and just relax. Okay, I'm realistic enough to know that there's a ton of preparations and being a slug isn't going to happen. It's enough to know that the responsibilities are fun ones. Hanging out with family and friends, cooking, laughing, playing games. Plus all the excitement of doing it all with my Simon. Getting to spend time with him makes it all worth it. I wouldn't care if we were digging ditches in Guatemala, as long as we were together!! I know that sounds like total crap, but when you've lived apart for 10 months, it changes the perspective a little. So my goal for the next week or so until I get to see him is to get over this persistent cold I've had for quite some time (I told you - exhaustion), finish my schoolwork that's due that week (so I can cut classes) and work at my three jobs and know that I'll be short on the check after Thanksgiving because of going out of town. Doing that is worth it!!!! Let me tell you, I don't care about the money. Of course, that's because I live with my parents and don't have worry about things like rent and food. I do have to pay for gas (which should cause me to worry about the money) and insurance and all those extra little things that I will soon have to live without anyway (not the shoes, don't take away the shoes....) because Simon & I are starting to save for our future together. That's right, we've got the ring, the dress is picked out, heck, I even know the music I want, so we better get cracking on this saving thing fast. Alright, alright, I digress. That has nothing to do with exhaustion. Well, it sort of does because it pertains to money and that pertains to working all the time, but whatever. Well, I have to go now and get cracking at one of my myriad of jobs. Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go........
